Hi everybody, this is a character I've been working on and off for years now (more off than on....). I don't know how many times I've reworked it, but I'm never quite happy with it. Her story is as follows:

Aelic is a young servant girl, in a world far from ours where creatures strangely resemble life on Earth. Her short life has not been without sorrows, but for the first time destiny has smiled on her and given her purpose and a reason to fight for. She's with child. And for some reason, she feels the childs love and devotion already radiating from her womb.
However, fate's mercy is uncanny and hides an ulterior motive, and so a golden scarab, a magical creature hidden in the sands of time, has come with the call of duty bestowed upon her and asked for the unthinkable.

This is a story I intend to tell some day, and as my drawing skills get better, I'll try to paint her as she deserves.
